Join us on August 25 at 6:00 pm for a Virtual Meetup to chat with club member Pete Borras, Master Detailer and Paint Correction Specialist, about taking care of your Tesla.

In December 2012, Tesla delivered my Signature Model S to my home, as was the practice back in those early days. That weekend day we had a delivery party, and I showed off the brand new Tesla to my friends, family, and some of our original club members. The car had that gorgeous, limited-edition Signature Red paint, and I thought it looked pretty darn good straight from the factory.

Later in August 2013, I learned that Pete Borras, a Master Detailer and Paint Correction Specialist, had opened a studio in Sarasota where I live. So, I figured that since I’d never paid so much for a car that it would be wise if I had a professional put some protection on it.

That was when Pete worked his magic. He did a little paint correction, applied a permanent ceramic coating, and paint armor.  I didn’t think it was possible, but even after 9 months of wear and tear, the car clearly looked much better than when it was new from the factory.

Fast forward eight years, and now Pete still has a Sarasota studio, First Impression Premier Auto Detail, and also The TEZLA Studio in Tampa less than a mile from the Tesla Tampa Service Center.  So, if you have questions about how to care for your car, or add custom touches, this would be a perfect opportunity to get tips from an expert and fellow club member.
